Regular, boring landscapers put in just all the varieties, not paying attention to the ones that like our climate, and then we get super-ugly crapes. But that’s not this crape myrtle. This is the 'Fantasy' crape. It’s the trifecta: fragrant, repeat-blooming with curly "camo" bark, and disease-resistant (not prone to black sooty mold or other such nonsense). And it has brilliant fall colors!! I guess that makes it a quadfecta.
