The Borscheid House: Patio Home

Pief Oudolf inspired prairie garden via the high-line hand-formed concrete pathways, a splat of lush Zoysia and many beautiful native plants.

We ere inspired by the High Line walking park in New York City designed by Piet Oudolf. The clients have ties to New York and they loved the concept.
The angled spaces fill up with fluffy plantings and stay relatively care free for the seasons.
the front yard was also completely demolished, regraded all lawn eliminated adding terraced beds of Earthkind roses, cassian grass pows castle artemisia a big beautiful Drummond Maple, Texas Sage, and sedges for year round color and interest
The client added a cowboy pool into the mix we nestled it into corner close to the patio and the lovely soft zoysia lawn which is surrounded by curvy beds of native plantings.
the Zoysia Splat I call it. Splat like in a graphic novel. We needed space to play with luna a very special little pup who gets the zooms out here regularly.
cassian grasses may be perfect as they bloom all summer and fall and you know those are really long seasons around here...
A zero lot line patio home with a huge yard. We tied it all together with unique style.
